Yes, when they are absolutely positive that they know all there is to know and actually only know what the TV has told them.
The more one knows, the more questions they have. They are curious and thirsty for knowledge.
Those who know the least have the most unshakable convictions. They have "beliefs", not informed opinions that can be revised as more information becomes available. They actively reject broader perspectives. They will rant and hurl insults at anyone who has a different point of view.
Most of the time. My best friend growing up was like that. He was a good dude otherwise but even after showing him proof he was wrong he'd double down on being right.
Only when they're wrong.
It's one thing if they can back up their claims and actually prove that they're right. It's another when they double or triple down on their claims or stances to feed their own egos because they're incapable of owning up to mistakes or wrongdoings like adults should.
Deepak Chopra says says that humans waste 90% of their mental energy defending their point of view, when it doesn't need to be defended.
If someone says the sky is purple just agree with them. You have nothing to gain by proving them wrong. Proving them wrong.
