There isn't really a one size fits all explanation. Some have built their confidence around the belief that they are right about a topic. Some have built a career out of telling those prior people what they want to hear. Some just don't like the person who is right and want to frustrate them. Some just like to be talked to and know the attention will end the moment they admit to being wrong. There are many other possibilities..

No matter how obvious it is, as long as they don't say it out loud they think that they win and act like it.


If you have people with this kind of character remove them from your life or limit their contact.
