During his first term it fluctuate between $1.60 - $1.70 here in Texas where I live.

Texas has some of the lowest gas prices in the country... not coincidentally it is where a high percentage of the oil that the gas is derived from comes. States like New Jersey have refineries so they also have relatively low gas prices. States like California and most of the other states run by Democrats have politicians who go on and on about high gas prices while they charge the biggest taxes per gallon of any states. Yet they never talk about lowering that tax to bring the price down. They know their voters are morons.
