The problem with NIL is that it eliminates competition. A few colleges, those with the most money, will buy the best players and dominate.

To Ievel the playing field, I believe the solution is for scholarships to have a clause, "In consideration for the scholarship, etc., you give the college your NIL rights," or else, declare student collection NIL money, professionals, and not eligible to play college sports.

I can’t believe that I missed this. They should’ve done this years ago. I would have made millions the universities make so much money I guess they can pay the players. I didn’t like this in the beginning, but it’s OK. I guess people have to make a living now they’re talking about paying high school players

I think it's ridiculous college players don't make any money. And the excuses why are so aggravating to me.

I understand that's changing but I don't know much about it.

I get the scholarship is part of the payment but there's no reason a 20 year old should be generating tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars for anybody, risking their body for basically no pay and then you tell them they can't get a few grand to advocate for something after a game or whatever? It's extortion.

Someone compared it to a construction job to me once. I wonder what OSHA would have to say about you swinging a hammer uninsured.

These kids tear an acl or get a lifelong injury and then what? How much is the tuition worth then if they lasted 3 seasons and have their picture blown up all over as if they're tyreek hill?

I think college sport should be amateur only, I also believe colleges should not be able to enrich themselves from student athletes to the extent they do in the US.

In Britain for instance a person thats a really talented soccer player can go pro at 15-16. I think in America they have to wait and go to college.

The issue really is why are people so into sports to begin with. Crying over there team losing, rioting over losses or wins. Fighting in stadiums. Something more is going on here than just a game of some kind. Sports is bringing something out in these people and it should be studied. Various companies makeing money off of it is merely predictable behavior.

That's a good question. It's hard to say. In a way it is but also there are those who really need the money.

It's ALWAYS been semi-professionalism;now at least the players can get a measure of the compensation schools make off their athleticism.
