Basically they are splitting districts among 4 or 5 total districts , making Black Americans a super minority. basically taking their votes away. It looks like the only party cheating to win elections are the Republicans. So when will Republicans bring back slavery?

Blacks are 13% of the population and districting on race made them over represented. I mean Asians are 7% and Hispanic is 20%... where are their districts? Oh that's right, Democrats don't give them districts because they don't overwhelmingly vote Domocrat.

So the supreme court said they can no longer district based on race... big deal. If I was in charge I'd break it down to counties, which I think was the way it was at one time (fact check me on that), but I'm not sure.

Totally incorrect. Democrats have redrawn maps using race as a factor. There is a word for that…. Racism. What does the color of the voter matter? Districts should be divided up by county lines, regions but not based on race.

The Supreme court told states that they have to stop Democrat racial gerrymandering. For decades Democrats have carried out racist policies and the Supreme Court said, enough of that racist shit. States fix it as soon as possible, but no latter than the 2028 election because racial gerrymandering is unjust and unconstitutional. That's ridiculous. SCOTUS decided by itself that the Civil Rights Act isn't needed any more and Republican states instantly (even during an ongoing election) prove them wrong by going back to maps that were judged illegal under the Act.

No state redistricted between censuses until Trump demanded Republicans do it. Democrats (amazingly) responded in kind for a change.

It's clear the lines were drawn on race in some areas. Undrawing the lines resulting from decisions on race results in modifications that likely end up with racial changes.

Are they being drawn with intent of racial power or is it political power. I don't claim to know yet.

My area is more so based upon retaining the current political party. I've seen both parties gerrymander over time, this is "unique" happing mid cycle... don't claim to know how the results got to the court decision now, these issues take time to work through the court processes.

So maybe, I tend to think they are doing so do maintain political control, regardless of race. Race might be a factor.

Be fun to have the people whom are doing this work and much more inside the beast reporting. It's not my domain. I've seen it for long time, both parties, it it always smells bad.

I'd point out which party passed laws to ensure that districts were non-partisan, but I'm sure you know that. Democratic states also *asked* their voters if it was OK to pause those laws because other states that didn't bother had already decided to cheat.

Unfortunately, in Virginia (iirc) the law precluded the change without an intervening election. But they'll abide by the law.

In the meantime, SCOTUS chose to eliminate yet another part of the Civil Rights Act of 1965, and multiple red states are jumping at the chance to eliminate black/Democratic representation from their states, even when there's already an election in progress.

Tennessee, for example, is a state with a 2/3rd Republican majority of voters, and 1/9th Democratic representation.
