Do you agree most bullies and their supporters from school (preschool to High School) never change?

I know how they never change and an example is when I posted one time here how it is funny how a lot of the people that were bullied get the last laugh, because many of them become successful while many of their bullies/sympathizers don't. Guess what the replies were? Just people doing mental gymnastics instead of saying"Yeah it is funny because those bullies deserve it because she's they did to people"

Not unless I just read them wrong when we were kids. There's been a few that came up to me years later and acted like we were good friends.
One, in particular, Chickie Schmidt. He was a bit odd looking, a large head on a very skinny body and he'd sometimes have crazed-looking eyes. He was the school bully that a lot of kids were afraid of him but, at least for a short while, early on, we were sort of friends. I remember being at his house one afternoon sitting on his front porch with him and just chatting like friends. I remember him having a Styrofoam cup with him full of chocolate covered ants that he was eating! At one point, he went into his house and brought out a few records and gave them to me but, most of the rest of our school life, he was an asshole and was always threatening to beat me up! I never knew why.
Years after we graduated, we both ended up working the same job for a month and, part of the time, he was friendly and part of the time, he was an asshole.
Shortly after this, he moved into the house next door to me and, although we never had much of a relationship with each other, we'd still talk as friends for a while.
Years later, he moved to Florida and got a job in a warehouse at Paramount movie studios. He messaged me from time to time on FB. Again, sometimes he was nice, other times it sounded like he wasn't being nice under the niceness, like: we'd have a civil chat but, he'd call me a name in the middle of it!
A few years ago, I heard that he died.

I think most bullies do change, but not always for the better.

From what I’ve seen, a lot of the people who bullied others when they were younger didn’t exactly grow into stable or respectable adults. Some ended up dealing with addiction, crime, or just a generally messy life.

I still dont think this means that every bully is doomed, and I’m not celebrating anyone’s downfall. But in my experience, the cruelty and lack of self-control they showed early on often didn’t disappear. It just showed up in different ways later.

From my experience, bullies in elementary school tend to change. But it is something they tend to outgrow. By the time a child is in middle school and they are still a bully, they will be a bully for the rest of their lives. Once the brain comes to a certain level of maturity/ development, it is impossible to change a person.

That is not important. People stop being bullies after becoming adults because, unlike middle school, they are not rewarded for being bullies. They face disapproval by their peers and risk losing promotion opportunities.

Depends on the bullies and depends on the supporters themselves. My bully changed and the people who associated changed (not everyone is the same).

Let’s take popularity into consideration, if you looked up to the popular crowd and saw them dishing hateful comments, shoving people around, etc. and the only way to keep that glorified spot was to nod in agreement whether you saw it right or wrong then you’ll be more likely to conform and push those standards onto others however once you grow up and reflect, might not be worth it for temporary validation to people who weren’t truly your friend if they didn’t like what you liked or had values you valued so, you learn from it and grow as a person.
I always see hope in people, that they can change however once an adult and still keeping it up, then I believe less and less in redemption.

Every upper management person I have ever met in the several international companies I have worked for in the last 20 years were bullies. I don't think the one nerd with a decent IT job getting paid more than the local QB that wemt into construction holds a candle
