Why is religiosity and moral behavior declining among American men?

In America, things considered sinful, such as extramarital affairs, LGBT issues, and alcohol, have increased significantly. Especially among men. It's as if there are no religious and moral men left. What do you think?

You don't need religion to be moral. And a lot of religious people are immoral. So I don't see any connection between religion and morality.

I also disagree with what some religions consider to be immoral. For instance, I see nothing at all wrong with moderate consumption of alcohol or caffeine. I love eating pork and shellfish. I see nothing at all wrong with premarital sex. In fact, I think it is normal and healthy. And I have no idea why women should cover their hair, let alone their entire bodies.

Regarding other forms of morality, we learn those through the bad example of successful people. Things like usury, cheating, lying, covetousness, gluttony (not just food but also opulent lifestyles), theft, slavery, rape and murder are true sins. There is lack of charity and caring for one another, and treating others as we would want to be treated.

I am also opposed to adultery.

When I worked with guys I used to hang out with him on the weekends sometimes and in my early age I had 6 to 12 friends we were always hanging out together but nowadays the world has changed


I don't think men are like men anymore they are more feminine they are more you know I don't know how to say it but they're just not men anymore they don't carry on morals values and ethics they don't protect their little bitches is what I feel sometimes and I just kind of stay away from them

And to be honest I don't really even care whether it's a man or a woman they can do whatever they want to do as long as it doesn't hurt anybody else they can believe in anything they want to believe


For me since I was 7 years old I went to church that day and what I witness happen I just I went home and I told my mom that I was never going back I don't believe in the men that are trying to teach us I'm sure there are great men but no not that guy and God does not want us to be religious he wanted us to become more spiritual that's the reason why the church started but once the evil hit the churches and pastures and people solve the profit that they could make by tithing and everything else if they say certain words that they would believe and they got money given to them every week the church religion went into a business of profit of money by using God's name by using Jesus's name every which way they wanted to and they still do it to this day even online you watch his little videos this is oh my child listen follow me give me a like if you do not do this you have bad luck for 15 days you will lose this you will get it's just all bullshit I hate people that use God and Jesus for capital gain for anything

USA is the entire world. It started out with religious foundation, after they wiped out the "heathens".

They invited everyone in..."Statue of liberty". They had a foundation where the church was the foundation of schools, medicine but there was separation of church and state. in 1960's that eroded to where God, religion is removed from most everything except the currency, which is also corrupted.

If someone wants religion, they have to go seek it. If they want morals, they have to go seek it.

Trouble is the culture broadast in media... TV shows, music, is not based upon morals. It's based upon degredation of humanity, trauma, bad behavior.

So we declined because that is what we were taught and how we were guided.

If anything the new immigrants bringing morals has helped to mellow out the society, but not much. Like... Indians as an example and chinese overwhelmingly, have better behavior than many others whove been here long time and don't know difference between right and wrong.

* it's peculiar that you list LGBT "issues" as being considered sinful. Why? Because a limited sect of boisterous people in the USA say so? And what exactly is an LGBT issue -- being a lesbian, bi, gay or trans person in life? That's an ISSUE? Something that has to be fixed because it's immoral according to someone's understanding of a book? It's not only peculiar, it's pathetic.
* your information is misleading. Alcohol consumption over the last 30 years in the USA has gone from 9.04 liters to 9.90 liters, per person, per YEAR ! That's approximately one additional beer every 6 months today than 30 years ago. LOL
The infidelity rate has remained unchanged statistically (the means + or - 5%) for the last 50 years in the USA. Look it up

LGBTQ "issues" haven't increased either, they're just out in the open now because a) the effect of social media, and b) it's not considered to be a mental illness anymore, except by ignorant and/or very religious people of certain faiths. It's not swept under the rug and kept quiet like it once was.

A better question about morality that transcends ANY discussion of religion, is:

"Why have the people in the Epstein files not been indicted in the USA?"
" Why have the victims been IGNORED by the Department of Justice?"

If anything, the decline of any sort of moral behavior among American men is glaringly apparent in OLDER men (and women too) who hold positions of power in government, the justice system and religious organizations. If you want to seek a lack of morality, look there.
