Why are Turks and Mongols often compared?

Mongols are similar to Tungusic people they have yellow skin. Turks are a race with white and wheat skin. Modern Mongols do not resemble their ancestors

Both come from Mongolia. Both were nomadic steppe peoples and horse archers that conquered.

Mongols and turks were probably the same people at one time the Xiongnu that raided china 200BC. The Huns were part of the Xiongnu. There were a whole host of nomadic horse tribes like the tartars, avars etc that over time were one but split into smaller individual distinct tribes over time.

These tribes as they conquered would take the women and girls of their foes as wives and concubines and have children with them and their sons would do the same to the point that through thd maternal line they came to resemble the very peoples they conquered. So with the Mongols they are very eastern Asian Chinese looking and with the turks the further west you go the more European they become and the further east the more Asian they become.

Yes, that's right, they lived together in a shared geography. Their beliefs, culture, and methods of warfare were similar. Then, the Turks migrated from Central Asia towards Anatolia.. (bc im from Turkey) 😅😱
