Agreed, but if you're that sick of it, the stuff is pretty easy to ignore. The closest thing I have to social media are this and youtube. I watch people on tictok crash out and pretend to cry for fun and when I'm sick of it i just close the window.

I think I started to mute a few facebook contacts 15 years ago, then I gradually ended up muting almost every one until I stopped using the platform. And I suspect a lot of people followed a similar path with socials
