Well in the case of the British empire rhe fought other European nations and acquired their colonies.

They used corporations like the east india company and Hudson Bay company, The Royal African Company, Virginia company, levant company to set up massive global trading empires and set up colonies even private militaries. Imagine if google set up a military on some 3rd world country today and took it over.

Slavery was another. Slavery provided cheap labour but long term was not so good for colonisation. That's why apart from the eastern states of the US the European colonies in the Caribbean have very few white people and are very poor.

The big reason the British empire was able to conquer so much territory was the use of so many non English soldiers in their armies abroad. The British army for instance around the 1700s was only ever around 100,000-200,000 to cover 25% of the world's surface. In the napolonic wars like in spain the British army was made up of 1/3 irish, in the French indian wars the Scots highlander were some the best British troops, 30,000 germans fought in the war of independence for the British. Germans often enlisted in the British army during the period before the unification of Germany under Prussia and Prussia defeating that other great German state Austria. A huge number of indians served in the British east india company and British indian army helping the British defeat the muslim mughals and others as well as africa. Africa was thd same story, thf kings African rifles served right up until the 1950s. China was the same story. Mostly the natives conquered lands for the British empire themselves with a Rupert general in charge.

Women is self explanatory.

But as far as minorities goes, it depends which minority as they all have differing reasons. But a good case can be made for the warlike nature of the white man. After the fall of the Roman empire, European tribes fought and competed with one another. War sparks innovation. While countres like China invinted gunpowder they used it mainly for defense, and it was largely useless against the fast cavalry of the Mongols. Africa had to contend with tropical diseases and did not have the large scale domesticatable animals such as horses, cows, pigs.

So you could say it's because the white man is the most brutal barbaric and bloodthirsty of all the races.🤷‍♂️

There is a difference between raping somebody and conquering them. When a Chinese professor flunks you out of college, he is conquering you. When an angry pimp assaults you for unpaid porn fees, that is rape.
