What Girls & Guys Said

This is the clear public sentence that needs to happen for such crimes. Too often these guys think they can commit horrendous crimes and escape justice. Karmelo Anthony is a prime example of this attitude.
Read this. Sean Gathright still can't accept accountability for what he did. Thinks he should be allowed out in a few months.
"Everyone wonders how and why I ended up in a situation like this, despite growing up with a loving family, nice home, multiple opportunities and promising potential. Some act as if it’s impossible or unheard of for someone like me to find themselves in a situation like this, but in reality, it is much more common than we think,” Gathright said as he addressed the court at Monday’s sentencing hearing. “Your Honor, it is heartbreaking that an 18-year-old can’t rent a car, or a hotel, or buy a home, but can be sentenced to death or life in prison without the possibility of parole. They can’t purchase alcohol or tobacco, but can be sentenced to death or life in prison without the possibility of parole. They can’t work certain jobs or even go on a cruise without a chaperone, but they can be sentenced to death or life without the possibility of parole. And I’m a prime example of these circumstances. At 18 years old, with no prior convictions, I was charged, indicted and had to face the death penalty.”
I agree with you 100%. And I am glad people can see its not just someone who lives in a poor neighborhood or grows up in a "broken home" that commits crimes.
Sean Track his location and used an illegal fire arm and wonders why he is getting a life sentence. It would be unfair if it was a non-violent, but he took someones life in cold blood.
It wasn't like he was a mental illness homeless person in the streets killimg a random person because of paranoia, voices, or delusion.
He calculated and thought everything out. He knew what he was doing. You don't need to be 25 or 30 years of age to know what will happen if you do something stupid like that.
If there is no desth penalty this is the next best thing.
i agree with ken. here.
