Sure there's a limit. Time for one. We don't live forever. And we can't roll back the clock. Causality is a pain in the ass. We can only travel into the future one day one decision at a time.

And few people have essentially unlimited resources. Including mental resources. Some people are a lot more limited in that particular resource than others. Not everyone is capable of creating Calculus (Newton) or dreaming up Relativity (Einstein).

Health is a bitch too. Some people are born with limitations. Some people get polio. Some people get crippled in car accidents. Some jackasses use tobacco, booze, opium, or meth to commit slow motion suicide.

Wars happen. Earthquakes happen. The dinosaurs were having a great time until the universe threw a rock at them.

So choose your battles wisely. Don't waste your precious resources. And know when to walk away as Kenny Rodgers advised.

disagree. I wanted to be an astronaut and it was not just a kids dream but I was serious about it. I joined the Air Force to be a pilot and eventually I wanted to get in the Space Program. I could not pass the eye test and was dropped from the program..

At 18 my brother drove me to NJ to try for flight attendant. Turned down because I am 5 ft. The requirement is 5’2.

i reminded my brother last month… he is still shock I was so ambitious at a young age and not able to dive yet to seek a job like that.

@exitseven 😂 thank you. I take that as a compliment.
It’s my over flared ego that tributes to making me seem greater than my height…
I am just a 5ft nothing 116 pounds but with lots of worldly life experiences and success that make me seem bigger? I dot know.
I have to learn to be more humble.

We were raised to believe that if you work really hard towards accomplishing your dreams, they will come true.

    And we believed them. 😂😂

Disagree. Everyone has their limits. And it depends on what you want to achieve.

Not everyone can be a race car driver, an Olympic medalist, a professional athlete, a great singer, or a successful actor. Not everyone can become a billionaire.
But everyone can achieve realistic goals that are within their physical and mental capabilities. With hard work and determination, they can even excel.

    I disagree.

As one example: dumb people can only get so far.

Me, as one example, will never qualify for a Nobel Prize.

Also: numerous 'things' only are accessible when you know the right people. That's why I didn't get considered for the Olympic team, once.

Lastly: Many ''achievements'' aren't even worth while :D

That's absurd. People who become elite athletes, musicians, etc. were born with a natural advantage, then worked hard to out-compete others who were born with the same advantages but less drive.

I disagree literally and agree figuratively.

I can't be 25 anymore no matter how hard I try. I can achieve the fitness and blood results that might be typical of a 25 yr old if I work hard, but I'll still chronologically be 46.
