He is specifically pushing for and I quote "NO MAIL-IN BALLOTS (EXCEPT FOR ILLNESS, DISABILITY, MILITARY DEPLOYMENT, OR TRAVEL!)". So all you have to do is claim you will be traveling the day of the election. They can'r really confirm or deny that you will be traveling the day of an election, because they don't have a time machine and anyone can get in a car, a plane, a train, a boat, etc. with a same day ticket or by walking out to their driveway. That said, in order to get an absentee ballot you have to request one for a reason and provide identification information that matches your mailing address and you have to do it at least several weeks prior to the election. That's fine given there is a loop hole (all though you really shouldn't have to give a reason). What it would prevent is mass mailing ballots to the entire voter roll, which many times have not been cleaned in decades and have illegal aliens, dead people, and phony social security numbers on the roll. So I get what he is trying to do, but he should negotiate on that point so long as voters need identification and proof of citizenship. In Florida we are already having our citizenship status on our drivers license, and when you request an absentee ballot you provide social security info, drivers licence info, and your mailing address. If everything lines up with your voter id then you are good to go. I'd just prefer to not have to claim I'm traveling and that I just want to vote absentee, but there is always a work around to vote from home.
Either mail-in voting is allowed or not. That's the question. Today, the SCOTUS actually got it right! So, NO he cannot stop mail and voting. Also, he is an absolute hypocrite saying that it's okay for him, but NOT okay for everybody else! ALL OF THIS BULLSHIT ABOUT ILLEGAL ALIENS VOTING AND PHONY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS HAS BEEN DISPROVEN OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN! THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION HAS NOT WON A SINGLE CASE REGARDING VOTER FRAUD! THIS IS SIMPLE RIGHT-WING, NOT JOB, CONSPIRACY THEORY BULLSHIT!!! IF VOTER FRAUD IS SO PREVALENT, THEN WHY DOES THE GOP CONTROL THE HOUSE, THE SENATE, AND THE PRESIDENCY!!! WTAF?
