Democrats think that the government knows how to spend your own hard earned money better than you do. Do you agree with them?

Exactly one year ago President Trump and the Republicans passed the biggest tax cut for the middle class in history. It was called the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) and millions of Americans have seen a very significant cut in their taxes this year because of it.

It included such things as eliminating tax on all tips, elimination of tax on overtime, a permanent extension of individual tax cuts originally introduced by the 2017 middle class Tax Cuts and Jobs Act passed in President Trump's first term, child tax credits to help middle class families with children, a $6,000 deduction for middle class taxpayers over the age of 65 to help middle class seniors.

Yet EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT voted AGAINST it, so it just barely passed with only President Trump and the Republicans pushing it over the finish line.

WHY? WHY WOULD THE DEMOCRATS DO THAT?

If not to force you to turn over even more of YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY to the government and let someone else decide how it gets spent and not YOU, the person who earned it, then WHY?

On this the 250th birthday of the nation that invented freedom, I ask whether what the Democrats are doing is what FREEDOM is about? They have never seen a tax, to take even more of your money, that they didn't love. Is this what you really want?

So the question is: Who knows how to spend your own money better? YOU or THE GOVERNMENT?

A democrat government would only piss away the money giving it to illegal aliens and spending it on useless social programs like supplying free needles for junkies. No matter how much they get, it is never enough.

That is exactly right. For every dollar that Democrats raise your taxes they spend three more on mentally ill spending like you described. So the answer can NEVER be to pay more taxes. The government already collects more taxes than at any time in the history of the country.

I wouldn’t mind a little extra taxes to help support the poor if the government employees could actually manage the tax dollars responsibly, instead of spending it on bullshit like buying $700 hammers and toilet seats from their buddies

I'm with you on the spending bullshit. But I would definitely mind paying even more taxes. Cut out the government waste, fraud, abuse and corruption FIRST and CUT our taxes. That will still leave plenty to help the "poor." I out poor in quoted because no one is really poor in America. Poor in America means you have last year's iPhone model and only 1 car instead of 2. There is too much fraud in the welfare system and it needs to be eliminated. Then we can focus on the TRULY needy who have handicaps or other unfortunate reasons why it is impossible for them to work. That is probably about 10% of the people who currently receive welfare. Everyone else should be required to work. Not one penny more in taxes. We pay more than enough taxes already. CUT THE DAMN SPENDING!
