Do you travel to watch the fireworks?

Someone in my neighborhood always lights fireworks, so I go outside on my porch, watch fireworks until im bored, and go back inside to sleep.

From 2005 to 2019, my wife and I drove 18 miles up the mountain on highway from our rural home in the foothills and parked on the shoulder of the highway next to the fence for the fairground. Lots of other cars full of people would be there. We brought lawn chairs, snacks and a bottle of wine and watched the 1/2 hour fireworks display from front row seats. It was fun.

But they didn't have it in 2020 or 2021 because of stupid covid mandates.
They started up again in 2023 but we didn't go and haven't bothered since.

Since then, we have stayed home, had good food, and watched fireworks displays around the world on TV in the evening.

Tonight, we watched the festivities in Washington DC.

Fireworks are okey , but you know it's generally overdone , how many times can you say " Wow " .
