Once met an erotic writer online and we were brainstorming a dark bdsm themed story concept for an erotic thriller. Came up with a whole setup where the villain was actually a former victim and by the end of the story the progonist would take her place as she was being trained to. Whole elaborate psychologly as to why, who was actually behind it, etc.

Then she told me that there had to be some major adjustments since this would not sell. There had to be a rich guy involved and she basically retooled it to the same rich guy slop story underpinning the original idea.

No idea if she ever wrote it but it was very telling. She loved the original concept the group came up with, but because the market only buys rich guy stories it had to involve that.

So I don't think its as much of a forced thing as you make it out to be. It seems to be a two way thing.

So the thing about this is that you apparently can't or won't conceive of the notion that it could be both the fault of men and women. It could be the fault of men for all the things that you've listed. It could be the fault of women as well for ignoring any man that they want to and being easily able to get another one and another one and another one. There's no lack of men interested in women.
