The Bush administration “tax cuts” were exclusively for the wealthiest individuals and companies, and it immediately destroyed the budget that was balanced under Clinton. Bush was the first to offer “economic stimulus” checks to the peons in order to fool them into believing that they were part of the team.
That was also one of the first times that his repeal of market restrictions on Big Oil that we got gouged at the pumps nationwide. Record highs every quarter for three years straight, and then the prices went down right before the campaign season.
