in each of 3 sections, the observed results are surprising. i would expect bi (meaning attracted to both) happiest- they have more options than: men looking for lady or lady looking for men but both - has more options yet unhappy? just because liberal? and money too?

richer liberals are not happy

and a conservative might feel guilty if he differed from traditional family but no? he is not put down by his peers?

and the rest. less money than liberal but just as happy? like i get feeling sad for victims if it would not be for 'some of the victim related to agenda' but even for their own life not happy. dissatisfied in life, just so bitter?

and it is not like i am on prozac! but i am satisfied with my life. a full life and conservatives are more than 70% if combine: feel happy or more happy with their lives! how can we explain bitter leftists and happier conservatives?

Probably brain differences. Brain differences from MRIs can pick if a person is Liberal or Conservative between 70 to 83% certainty. This falls short of the 95% certainty of cause and effect required for scientific work but in real world measurements (non laboratory) it is highly significant.

Conservatives have larger amydalae which is a fear centre and promotes community building and resilience. They use logic.

Liberals have larger anterior cingulate cortices which gives better conflict resolution but causes higher levels of anxiety. They use emotive reasoning and a catchy chant is proof to them.

So not surprising Liberals are often on medication for anxiety and depression (which is a twin mental health issue - they track together).

Marxism is a factor here. A Liberal is always going to unhappy with something and that has to impact on their happiness levels when they are constantly confronted with rejection of their core concepts. Thinking there are more than male & female genders is a 70 30% with only 30% thinking there are many genders.

So it has to be confronting/depressing to see most people to be wearing binary appropriate clothing and hair styles. They have to asking themselves why does everybody think I am FITH.

For Liberals both nature and nurture is against them. They are probably feeling depressed at Super Girl flopping right now.

We really need a controlled study of Liberals with anxiety issues to understand them better. :)

It has been established that anxiety prone people show more activity in the dorsal anterior cingulate cortices but the less anxious show more in the ventral anterior cingulate cortices.

It is, I think, an assumption that more gray matter correlates with more usage in that area. It seems reasonable; more neurons is more thinking in that area. There is no claim that brain structure is political destiny and correlations are messy in the real world. I wouldn't expect 1 to 1 but more a trend.

Seems a reasonable working hypothesis.

We do know that women are clinically more subject to anxiety and depression than men and have larger anterior cingulate cortices. Maybe there is a chicken and egg. More women on the progressive side carrying more anxiety over and larger ACCs.

This stuff gets political. When investigation of brain function with MRI started in the 2000's it quickly found male and female brains were different. That did not go down well with feminists. Researchers pulled their head in on how they reported as it could damage their career. Especially on spatial processing.

Even though it was well established that men are better at spatial tasks. On one, a water level test, boys outperform girls early in childhood. Even after 5 years of training the females were still under performing compared to males.

I could see politics working the same way again.
