All Abrahamic religions are a danger to freedom. Monotheism rejects pluralism, and the doctrine of hell is extremely dangerous.

That being said, if Islam is not challenged, I think it could very much become a threat. And I don't mean attacking Muslims as a group, but condemning the dangerous doctrines and customs of Islam. Everything from their homophobia, to their acceptance of cousin marriage and there version of purity culture.

There are roughly 3-3.5 million Muslims in the USA. They make up roughly 1% of the American population. Muslims are always a threat to every country they enter, but it's not like they can win a civil war in the USA. America is the most difficult country on the planet to wage war. America has the most power standing army on the planet and the largest civilian militia the world has ever seen. America has roughly 334 million people and 540 million guns. Talk about burying your head in the sand. According to Pew over the past 20 years Islam has grown by 350%. Sure they are a severe minority now, but if trends continue, they won't be in another 20 years.
Well, I am also not a fan of Christian nationalism. Islam is still a much bigger threat to religious minorities. (Quaran 2:191) Women (An-Nisa 4:34) Muslims who leave the religion (Surah Al-Ahzab 33:61-62, ) people in the LGBT community. And many others.

We can condemn Christianity and its religious extremism, but if we don't also condemn Islam, we have no ground to stand on. Also they don't need to be a national majority to be a threat. That sounds like a post hoc defense. Muslims have already banned LGBT pride flags in parts of the US

I am a Muslim not in the US, but I know that Islam (the ideology) is certainly a threat to those exploiters in power and in general, including some Muslims exploiting it to toy and manipulate others.

Otherwise, certainly not a threat.
And there's the political fact of inverse proportionality between security and individual freedom.
It is to weigh personal vs public benefit.

We all know that my/your freedom is bound by others' boundaries as a general life concept. As in free until it causes harm to others.

Islam is clear there and balances between them, not blindly or unbiased favouriting one on the other.

That's the general concept. And again, not all whatever religion followers are the true or best representation of it. So better be precise and objective in such matters.

For now on an individual level, why not try visiting some local Muslim communities around in person to have a better idea and direct communication? And ask them to stop that "noise" or attempts to take over and hear them out. Also you may check some such as Zeeshan Malik (smile2jannah extra) and Ali Dawah for their takes on freedom of speech in UK since they reside there.

I mean listen to what the other side has to offer from them directly, then object/refuse/oppose as you like afterwards if that's your decision.
