Furthermore, we just talked about a time when the strait of hormuz was an issue. Iran launched the "tanker war" in the 1980s. Iran also threatened the strait in 2011 and 2012 in response to nuclear talks, which led to oil rising to over $125. They also routinely attacked oil tankers from 2019 to 2025 in response to Trump leaving JCPOA. This is not new. You chose to forget.
