1. Why don't they pressure the Israeli gov't to take more immigrants and set the example for the whole world? Why don'tt they do it instead of criticizing the West?

2. Lots of people are pro-open borders nowadays, but are they pro-open borders for Israel, too?

3. Should Israelis renounce the Jewish nationalist character of their country to start being more tolerant and multicultural?

If it's not clear, I'm not talking about "Israel as a whole country", but rather on the (generally speaking) obvious hipocrisy of Jews on this matter. They have double standards for Israel and Western nations, that's why we see virtually all Jewish interest groups promoting the idea of open borders, just not for Israel. I could point out IsraAID, ADL, AIPAC, many leading figures of Advocates Abroad are Jews, HIAS, JIAS, National Jewish Democratic Council, AJWS, JFCS... Just to name a few!

You will not hear a single word coming from them about the Israeli immigration rules and the country's situation on human rights. But you will hear from them every sort of condemnation against the West when people and politicians start to think that we are already full of immigrants demanding too much of us.

Regular Jews surely don't. But it's clear that Jewish interest groups share common goals and an ideology, which happens to be leaning to the Left. If you want to live in a state of denial and think they are your allies and care about your country (not just to Israel), it's up to you. But you can't expect this lack of common sense from others, in Europe we are dealing with people who very preachy about Zionism in Israel, but here they coach illegal immigrants to deceive our authorities and get a visa and social benefits.

* When will Tel-Aviv have a Muslim mayor? When one is elected. The elections for the mayor of Tel-Aviv are open and democratic, the citizens of Israel are all equal regardless of their gender or religion. Show me a parliament member in England who support terror against England? Show me a political party in the France whose members visit terrorists in prison? Because Israel has those.
* Diversification - France has 5% Muslims, England also 5%, the US has 1%, Israel has over 20%. They also have Christians and Druze. Their Jewish population is comprised of many ethnic backgrounds. Some are white, some are brown, some are black. They have all races except for Asians (there are some Asians, but not many). So the sign should be the opposite: Israel is diversified, now it's Europe's turn.
* 'Tear down the wall' - obviously, if you're a person with even a little bit of critical thinking, you'd first ask - why was the wall put up in the first place? who side is exerting efforts in terror attacks to kill people from the other side, while the other side is exerting its efforts in building a wall to reduce the terror attacks. Do you want the wall to be torn down? What about the people who would die? would you risk your own life and you family's life?

Disclaimer: I'm not on either side, I recognize that this issue is deeply complex and difficult for both groups. There are no easy answers.

The hidden implication with your suggestion that Israel open borders to other nationalities (including giving Palestinians full democratic rights) is that it would mean the destruction of Israel as a Jewish state. This is because Jews would quickly become a minority, and you have to be extremely naive to think that a democratically elected (Muslim) government would be friendly or even tolerant of Jews.

Israel's enemies, including Palestine, have in no uncertain terms declared themselves committed to the destruction of the state of Israel. There is no Muslim country that is tolerant of other faiths and ethnicities in the way that the West is, and in fact treating non-Muslims differently is quite clearly written into the Koran.

I believe that Israel has a right to exist and to be secure and at peace. For this to happen they need to control their borders as well as occupy strategically important areas.

Palestinians also have a right to a Muslim homeland, and there are many Islamic countries bordering Israel who should welcome them. However, unfortunately these powers tend to disdain the palestinians too.

I'm neither an Israeli citizen nor do I have "Jewish" ancestry, so I can't really opine on Israeli political issues. But I just want to understand why do Jews push open borders for Western countries at the same time they are overzealous towards Israel's sovereignty and the Jewish nationalist character of its country, even when they are Jews but not Israeli citizens.
