Why can't Dem's see that forcing unlikable candidates on everyone then screaming sex and racism when they don't win is a losing strategy?

Sure there were some voters who didn't not vote for Harris because of her race and gender, but they were in the minority and wouldn't have changed the outcome of the election. After Harris's loss, instead of Democrat's self reflecting about how she was a terrible candidate who ran a bad campaign, what can we do differently next time to win over voters, they doubled down on the idea she lost to sexism and racism. To independents like myself who determine election's, it's off putting when the losing party blames their loss on everyone being sexist and racist instead of admitting they lost because their candidate was unlikable and ran a terrible campaign.

In our parliamentary system of government, this is regularly done to save a few sticks of furniture from the fire that is engulfing the gov't.

Voters wouldn't be mean to a woman is the base reasoning of the Left. Plus they might get a few % extra from the sisterhood vote. Inherently women aren't held to account the same way male candidates are

Fundamentally though, it is a play to not lose as badly as they think they might. Hence the remark of saving a few sticks of furniture.

Plus this saves destroying a man's political career and preserves him as an option in a future run when they do have a chance of winning.

When a woman is installed as the Left leader at our Federal or State, we know the the internal polling is particularly disastrous.

They did lose because of sexism and racism. They ran a woman nominee. Who happened to be black. What they refuse to admit is that they're desire to push a sexist/racial agenda is what the right is pushing back on. They are pushing optics over effectiveness. And they were taught a lesson that pushing optics isn't effective. Well, hopefully they learned.

No one's getting desperate, Republicans are going to lose come mid-terms, and they deserve to lose for supporting the Iran conflict and not pushing for all of the Epstein files to be released. This losing strategy is more of an issue with national elections such as presidential elections.

This past election, in many swing states, there were many voters, who voted for Trump while voting Democrat down ticket, 2028 will be no different if Democrats do change their strategy, AOC is a good example of what Democrat's should be doing but are not.
