I have never visited India but I'm a fan of ayurvedic medicine and Indian food.
Some of the ancient architecture is amazing.

Yoga and meditation originated there and the kamasutra was composed there.

India contributed a lot of things that became standard in western culture - the concept of zero, the decimal system, the binary number system, Fibonacci numbers, plastic and cataract surgery, chess, crystalized sugar, button fasteners, indigo dye, flush toilets, shampoo, diamond mining, ...

Mathematical history. Unfortunately so much stayed hidden away for so long that it got rediscovered (reinvented... notsure if maths counts as invented or discovered) in Europe. There are some really interesting methods from old India though that are worth reading about.

In fairness though, credit rightly goes to the one who spreads the news first not the one who learns the news first.

The food definitely is among the best in the world. Some aspects of its culture, like Punjabi songs or Indian dresses which are among the most beautiful traditional dresses. And I’ve made some Indian friends in the past, online and in person. They were some of the best friends I ever had.

  I lost contact with some of them cause it was many years ago. Nothing bad happened between us just we all got busy in our lives, we all got married etc and when we met a long time ago we were all much free. Sometimes we check to make sure the other is doing well with a few of them though.

I have never been there before. From what I understand, it is a vibrant and diverse country.
The only experience I have at all with it would be the food. We have a very popular Indian restaurant where I live. It gets great ratings because their food is outstanding.

  I bet! The people that own and run the restaurant are Indian. I am not sure from where in India. Very nice people.
  
  Their food is so fresh. They literally have a guy that just makes naan all evening so when they bring it to your table it was just cooked.

Hmm, I think i agree with most people here and say the food. I also want to throw in some of the movies are just terrifically cheesy but in a good way. I don't know why the need to dance in some of them, but some of them like RRR were pretty good.

I don't know. I think its culture. For someone who wants to see and experience a drastically different culture than visit India. Just be careful of street food as it can fuck you up pretty good as I've seen on a scary youtube video about 2 English or American male tourists who visited India.
