Joe Kent was the Former Director of the United States National Counterterrorism Center so I would guess it’s likely he has more knowledge than Donald Trump about this topic.

Before answering this question please try to acknowledge there is a difference between threat and imminent threat.

Joe Kent was lying. Iran has been a threat for decades. They have killed thousands of Americans in Iraq, bombing of military bases, blew a hole in the USS Cole killing many American soldiers, and they have proxies that create terrorism through the region. I like most Americans have no idea how close they were to having a nuclear weapon BUT I am 100% sure if they got one they would use it.
So yes…. Joe Kent for political reasons lied to the American people…. He is a sleaze bag.

The experts, you know the ones who would know, said that Iran posed no imminent threat because there was no evidence they were even attempting to create a nuclear weapon, which was proven to be correct after Trump decided that the plan that Obama crafted to keep Iran from creating nukes was not what he wanted.
