Do you find people who live in less expensive areas to be less attractive than people who live in more expensive areas?

Not at all. I grew up in a working class neighborhood. I remember about 15 or 20 years ago I was in a couple dating websites. A couple of the gold diggers and women from high income neighborhoods would say stupid shit like “I prefer a gentleman who can provide the kind of lifestyle I am accustomed to”. I have no interest in women with that mindset. Now I’m not saying all successful women and rich girls have that attitude, but I can’t compete financially with the type of guys they usually want. Guys that can afford to take them sailing in the Mediterranean for a month and bullshit like that. Not my crowd.

Overall, I feel like my tastes can't really escape social class hierarchy. I'm more attracted to people sharing a similar social background, I know it, I feel it.

I like women who have good jobs and who live in expensive areas because they are likely to be more intelligent and the educated, but also, equally importantly, they are less likely to have their hand in my wallet looking for money.

My ex-girlfriend was very educated and going to college when I met her, but she had still lived with her parents. It wasn’t the best neighborhood, but she was different from the others and she read a lot of books and was very intelligent.

Probably not genetically true, but money can do many things to improve appearance including good diet and healthcare. Plenty of unattractive wealthy folk out there, outside and in.

People in less expensive areas tend to "dress up". Whereas people in well to do areas see no need to.

i think this is true when you go to the extremes. because outside of that everyone else is a toss-up. i hate when people say that attractiveness is subjective. that's not true and it's harmful to create false myths about reality.
