I don’t know if we’ll ever recover from what he’s done to our people’s psyches and sense of decency and decorum. He has truly mentally poisoned our people, and he’s the first president in my lifetime to make me truly and deeply ashamed to be an American. I’m embarrassed of him; I’m embarrassed of all of us, collectively, for letting this happen.

No one politician has ever demoralized me more from a standpoint of patriotism and pride than Trump. I hope we can rebound from this, but I’m not really confident. We have an incredibly stupid and ignorant electorate that just votes on bumper sticker slogans and “vibes”🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

tRump's most damaging and long lasting effect is the complete corruption of all three branches of the federal government and a purge of bipartisan career bureaucrats to install loyalist toadies in every agency under executive control, thereby making the Constitution a joke and criminal behavior acceptable and common. The House, the Senate, and the Supreme Court are all complicit in the corruption and deserve to be held accountable for treason alongside tRump.

Each news organization will report on what is most applicable to their agendas. This, is likely why CNN is heavily reporting on Lake America. It makes Trump look crazy. They will however give little air time (or completely avoid) news that goes against that agenda. If it becomes to difficult to ignore, they will bring on "professionals" in certain fields who are either paid off, or hold the perspective that applies to the media outlets agenda. Very rarely is it ever unbiased.

Liberal figures like Bill Maher have figured this out, and now he's being labeled as a far right lunatic. They gave Joe Rogan the same spin (who is also liberal, and support Bernie).

Trump gets the worst treatment, but they also vilified other figures, including Bernie. You might remember the very negative coverage he received while running again Hilary. Ironically, they now support many of his views (and go further with DSA candidates)

Fox News does the same, but largely in support of Trump. It's rare finding outlets with a conservative lean today 🤷‍♂️

@katiesmuff many people have moved to alternative news (both liberal and conservative), because of this issue, and the fact it's been more than a decade of media decline. We've seen many scandals, defamation cases, fake news stories etc. This has largely been liberal, but there's been conservative cases as well.

They act only to divide and create crisis. In my opinion, much of the racial tension today is largely connected to false media reports and manufactured outrage.

There has also been a very aggressive move towards anti white, anti male, anti straight, anti Christian etc.
Take the black on Asian crimes from a few years back. Many major media outlets refused to even report the race of perpetrators, even if the video clearly showed it. They initially blamed white men. Once it came out the far majority of attacks were black men (and often the same individuals), the pivoted to blaming white supremacy. Ironically, this type of crime is not new. The media simply dug so deep into it that they couldn't remove themselves without losing face.

It's why political figures like AOC are currently trying to remove themselves from the political and social movements of those years. It's very unpopular.

The tariff and trade wars are a pretty epic failure resulting in only a handful of small deals and a complete breakdown of the framework agreements with Japan, Korea and the EU resulting in a big zero in new trade. The trade war with Canada turned comical with the renaming of Lake Ontario and made Trump look like a real life South Park episode.

The biggest was Iran though. Oil futures price per barrel are lower every month for the next 9 months which means Big Oil has assurances that this war is over. Plus, there's enough countries willing to defy the economic sanctions to keep Iran afloat. This was a huge loss.
