This to me implies that vehicles only drive in the left lane, and the right lane is unused. But also, left and right switches depending on direction of travel.

I personally just say, "the British way".

Fun fact, ALL traffic, including foot traffic flowed the British way, until Napoleon changed it

Lol it is already called left hand traffic and doesn't seem to imply a dormant right side. Your left hand stays your left hand whether you face north or south. ㅤ
