Why do people ignore injustice until it affects them personally?

The people who are like you describe are still emotional children. They've not learned that some things need to be handled before it is too late.

Educating yourself about the US medical system is a classic example. Too many people didn't see the truth about the system until they saw family members being injured/killed by Covid19 poison shots.

Because injustice has protection of the system, if injustice didn't have that there wouldn't be any injustice.

Try to sue a police officer who break the law and you will see it's a 'fight against windmills.' It's more effective to fight injustice with more injustice and shot this officer or some of his family member. People who brake laws don't deserve protection by the law.

There's ignoring and then there's not doing enough or feeling can't do much.

I see injustice all the time reported. Govt is enforcing injustice in the implementation of the laws. But it may be their view is that's a way to pay back others that have had injustice.

I bet most can't agree what justice is.

Yeah, surprise surprise. People are looking out for #1. People are risk averse. And people seldom demonstrate the ideals they say they believe in. Words and actions often fail to match up.

because it does not affect them. they can't be bothered to get emotional about far away stuff. people SHOULD mind just their own business. for almost all injustices with few exceptions.

people are by nature selfish. A lot of people are too busy working and taking care of their families to get involved with other people's problems.

People are selfish. It's human nature. Also, most injustices are beyond our control or can take many years to reverse.
