I'm not seeing the connection you're trying to get at. My point is that younger generations have to pay for the older generations' social security. I may not have been intended that way in the beginning, but as long as the government keeps stealing money out of the coffees for their pet projects, there will be no social security for the elderly. Or anyone else for that matter.
This is why the conservatives want social security privatized. They want the government to keep their hands off of it.

Newt Gingrich said many years ago that if social security was privatized, everyone would retire wealthy just off social security. But that's not the case now. Now social security can barely keep you in cat food.
