Thanks to too many people freeloading on children, we are in a Chinese economic finger trap.

The few young are not making enough to support children themselfs along with all the benefits (both private and public) to the old. While the Old are too numerous to be supported by the young.

What we really need to happen is for a consolation, where it becomes culturally accepted for the old to move in with the young and help with the Grandchildren, while reducing expenses for everyone on net.

That way more grandchildren can be raised and won't be corrupted without parents so we don't continue in this decline.

Doing that requires not only cultural power but economic power.

At that moment, Republican leadership is cutting benefits & going to raise the age of retirement just to screw us over.
$880 billion cut on Medicaid was just passed in Congress with 217/215 which 2 in 3 nursing home residents are currently on Medicaid and will be screwed by this.

I see at my grocery stores, 60+ yr olds working when they should be retired…. Clearly the government doesn’t have their backs anymore. Baby boomers are screwed and don’t stop there like Disabled people too are screwed plenty by this current administration’s poor judgement.

True but here's the thing who is going to pay for their benefits.

Social security they've paid into and pensions they saved has been pissed away on the 20 year war on terror, bailing out the banks and economic crisis, Covid, supporting various foreign wars like Ukraine and Gaza, various foreign aid programmes, corrupt and incompetent government at every level, then there's the effects of inflation and poor economy. These people aren't going to get to retire until they are 80.

The Trump administration is hoping to kick start the economy by shaking things up and low taxes but it may be too late.

It would be easy to implement and would impact things not one bit. Those trades would cancel all debt, get nations profitable and reduce the flow of wealth to those who already have more than they deserve
