Are the politicians really going to cut Social Security money? When and who?

That's my only income. I worked 30 years and people such as myself were PROMISED Social Security Retirement money. How will we live if they take away our only income? And please don't say get a job because I am not able to work anymore. Thank you for your opinion. ☮️

I never relied on the government to take care of me financially. Or rather I never expect them to. Talk is cheap.

Hence why I spent my younger years to build my capital and growing my money, so that my money grows even without welfare and jobs. Instead of squandering it away on women's first date meals or extravagant parties or drivers license.

What if someone steals your money, your credit and you are left there broke? It can easily happen in this day and age with the new technology we have.
My boyfriend stole $5,000+ of my savings I had locked away. I thought, Ah, he'll give it back tomorrow. Well, tomorrow never came because he hid it and within a few hours later he was murdered by Fentanyl, the Chinese poisoned him. RIP

That's why I store my funds across several locations and now with cryptocurrencies and wallets it's easier and kind of safer than ever. Easier said than done tho. These things didn't exist 10 years ago.

No, they’ll simply continue gaming the CPI calculation (like they have been ever since Bill Clinton started messing with it) to make official inflation less reflective of reality with time, thus inflating the social security liability away. The whole time they’ll boast about how they delivered on the promise of social security. This will get easy to do as dedollarization runs its course over the next decade or so and true fiscal chaos gradually sets in.

My conclusion of your opinion is yes, they will be cutting Social Security money, but not right away.
You do realize that is the only income I have, and without it I am doomed.

They won’t necessarily cut it outright. Social security benefits are inflation/m-adjusted. The BLS has been “adjusting” the CPI (consumer price index, the measure of inflation used to adjust social security payouts) for three decades now. If the CPI was calculated the way they did it in the 80s, your social security check would be much larger than it is. Nobody officially cut anything, but de fscto they cut the payout by underreporting (for the most part) inflation. Almost nobody notices this dirty sleight of hand. I suspect that when continued dedollarization forces a choice between cutting spending or inflating debts away, they’ll let inflation rip and they won’t account for it in their official inflation numbers.

They can’t do that but they always talk about it, I’ve payed into it all my life but it won’t be my only income, I’ll have a small pension and other things like a 401k and mutual funds to cover other expenses I expect in the future

Yes, every January we get a cost of living raise. It was 3.2% starting in January.
What I am speaking about is ending Social Security money period. Cutting the money off for good.
