The only Cuts to Medicare and Medicaid that I have heard of. Were to cull out the dead wood. People who are dead or fraudulently collecting it. Trump has publicly said this several times in interviews.
As for SS. He wants to get to know the several people over a hundred years old that are still receiving SS checks.
If he can eliminate the deadwood. It could reduce the cost of Medicare!

First of all if you have a medical issue you should get treatment then pay for it.

2nd unless you actually work for the Government you don't have a ligitiamte contractual claim to the tax payer supporting your care anymore than your food.

Again We are ignoring the legal constitutional reality that this Constitutionality is NOT a federal issue. It is family, local, or state at best.

All 3 of which are better qualified to make that judgement than a goverment 1000 miles away accountable to an electorate that is equally obscurity distant.

Medicaid and SSI both require a doctor's evaluation for disabilities or medical issues proving they cannot work. These are doctors assigned to evaluate you by SSI or Medicaid, you cannot use your own doctor.

But. The main issue here is one party wants federal assistance for only certain things but not others they assume will not be needed in their future. Boiling down to.. They don't care about anyone else.

Yes and yet some how we have large numbers of people who get such certification then end up working because there is nothing so wrong with them to keep them from working.

I know many people like this, the population of truly unable to work is quite small, and I've met some of them too.

Anyone who wants to convince a doctor of something simply has to pick a good one and look up the symptoms, and even an honest doctor will be fooled. You have to personally not want to do that, and the financial support given just doesn't give people such a motive.

As I keep saying this is iqnoring the Constiutional problem which is really a refection of the fact that the people who designed our system knew about human nature and made the federal goverment to do very few very limited tasks.

You have state & local goverment you can do anything you want with them. They exist for you to do stuff like this. This is why we only want federal assistance for the very few thins actually mentioned in that document. We should not be paying for everything else with federal taxes.
