Hey democrats. Why are you always wanting to raise taxes?

[Pterodon]

I’ve never heard of a democrat wanting to cut taxes. Wasn’t there many on the left that even opposed no tax on OT or tips?

[exitseven]

The state of Maine refused to go along with no tax on tips. Nobody has been able to explain how they can do that.

Thanks for the MHO😎

[shish_kebab]

And don't the Democrats oppose no tax on social security?

[shish_kebab]

Thanks for the MHO.

Again, JFK dropped the highest tax bracket from 90% to 70%. For context, the highest tax bracket is about 35% today. Historically, the highest tax bracket has been double that. The economic boom following WW2 was funded largely by that 90% tax on the wealthiest people and organizations. None of them fled the country either. They also didn’t starve to death and taxes didn’t stifle competition in the slightest.
Bill Clinton reduced taxes for working class families when he balanced the federal budget as the majority of republicans fought him tooth and nail. The budget was back in the red less than a year into Bush’s first term, mind you. The party of “fiscal responsibility”, my ass.
Contemporarily, senators Cory Booker of New Jersey and Chris Van Hollen of Maryland have proposed tax cuts for working class families too.
You are being lied to. Read more. Stop perpetuating misinformation.

That’s very minimal. There were many that even wanted tax on tips and overtime to stay so the democrats are well known for taxes. Your handful means nothing when you look at the dems over time

[Cidknee]

Better question: How many billions a year are y'all stealing from our tax dollars?

[Anonymous]

Democrats prefer to just mail you a check. Republicans prefer to lower taxes for the same amount the check would have been for. Fakest, most pointless argument ever. Both parties are trying to buy your vote and just phrase it different ways. Yawn.

No idea. Shits already expensive as is.
