I feel like there are biological men and women; and then after that, anybody can live and express themselves however they feel is right, and no one else should say boo about it, because it’s harmless, extremely uncommon in numbers, and that’s what FREEDOM🇺🇸 entails in America, whether everybody likes it or they don’t.

Well, that’s another thing that’s barely even happening anywhere, particularly relative to the amount of noise made about it. It’s hard to get excited one way or the other about shit that just isn’t really a “thing.”

But my overall opinion is probably best summarized as: “overall, probably not; but it’s such a minuscule issue that it could be handled case to case. But if you wanted to say “no” outright, that’s fine; just do it respectfully and treat trans-women like freaks.”

But I mean, I can think of Lia Thomas, the swimmer that Riley Gaines girl is making a living off of tying, to just be in the middle of the pack, and acting like she got robbed of gold at the Summer Olympics, lmao. Can you name a second trans-woman athlete? I feel like you guys are freaking about all these “what if?” scenarios that aren’t really manifesting in reality. It’s a new thing to navigate, somewhere…but not most places, so it’s just not worth being featured on the news and talked about societally and being a central theme of a political party’s agenda.

This is like worrying about stopping, like…. people from painting their cars with rainbow stripes or something. SOMEONE is probably doing it…but could you even find one person in every state who’s doing that? I think trans-women in sports has a similar relative frequency. If we see more of it, maybe we need more urgency in the conversation.

And not for nothing, I can’t help but notice a lot of people I see upset about this issue are the same type to scoff at female athletes in less political contexts of conversation, and laugh when they ask for more pay, or make fun of their looks if they aren’t conventionally attractive and are larger-framed and//or muscular….. so the sudden outrage and fervor to protect the integrity of female athletics often seems a little disingenuous a lot of the time, frankly.

Not to go too long, but when I was in high school in the 90s, I remember seeing a local sports article in the newspaper, with an action shot photo of a high school field hockey game.

One of the players was a boy, I noticed; his name was Niles, which I remembered because it was uncommon. It wasn’t a thing, it was just casual. “Such-and-such from Whatever City High defends Niles So-and-so of That Town.” Not “OH MY GOD, THERE’S A MAN ON THE FIELD!!!” I asked a friend who played field hockey and she had heard of him. No one was really worried about it.

Turns out, he was English, and men play field hockey too, in Europe. His family moved here, he’s like “yo, I play field hockey already, but they don’t have it in men’s. What’s good?”

In our state, there’s a long-standing rule that boys can play on girls’ teams IFFFFFF AND ONLY IFFFFFF there’s no boys’ team of the same sport. So you can’t get cut from the boys’ basketball team and then just hop over to the girls’ team. If that’s not a problem, trans-females shouldn’t be a problem either, logically.

But if there’s anything I could stress to any detractors, is that if you think about this even for a second out of your day, you spent more time on it than the problem warrants, if you even think it’s a problem.

I just don’t really care🤷‍♂️ It has no impact on my life. I can’t imagine being upset by it, whether I think they’re women or not. If they’d like to be treated as a woman, it’s no skin off my ass to do so. I can count on my fingers the number of trams people I know. I just know they’re human beings; so I’ll treat them as such.
