Honestly, I believe public officials should be held to a higher standard of accountability. If the allegations against Kimberly Guilfoyle are proven true, then this is a serious breach of public trust. Asking a political donor to pay a personal $100,000 credit card bill in exchange for access to senior government officials raises serious ethical concerns.

What makes this particularly troubling is the possibility that political access could become something wealthy people can buy, rather than something available through legitimate and transparent channels.

According to recent reporting by The Wall Street Journal and CBS News, the donor, Eric Deters, alleged that Guilfoyle made this request in 2025. He said he did not make the payment. Guilfoyle’s lawyers deny wrongdoing and say the money was owed for previous appearances and speaking engagements. The State Department’s inspector general is reportedly looking into the allegations.

I believe the appropriate response is a thorough, independent investigation. If the evidence establishes that she exchanged promised government access for personal financial assistance, removal from her ambassadorial position and any other appropriate legal consequences should be considered.

Public service is a responsibility, not a personal business opportunity. And that standard should apply regardless of someone's political connections or party affiliation.

I don't remember Hillary asking a donor to pay her bills, send text messages about it, and try to keep it a secret. I do remember Hillary testifying multiple times in front of Congress for hours on end... and Bill!

As secretary of state Hillary Clinton's pay to play scandal is well known. Donations were made to the clinton foundation and campaign funds.
Hillary testified over Ben gazing but not the pay for play scandal. there's been many scandals involving the clintons over the years. Recently they testified over Epstein, orginially they werent going to but to avoid charges of contempt of Congress.

Please provide sources to substantiate your claims. Donations to campaign funds and the foundation are completely legal. She was asked about everything through multiple congressional hearings. She never dodged a single question. However, we have had multiple Trump and GOP officials stonewall Congress and refuse to testify or bring lawyers with them to testify. Hillary and Bill did none of those things. They testified alone! You need to double check your facts! By the way, did you realize that Bill Clinton is the first ex-president in decades to voluntarily testify in front of Congress? Do you think that Trump, whether in office or out, would ever voluntarily testify in front of Congress? Don't be ridiculous!

You are making it a left vs right thing. Regardless pay to play should be ilegal across the board as should any form corruption even if it currently legal.

No, Bill Clinton did not testify voluntarily; he was compelled by a congressional subpoena and agreed to appear only after the House of Representatives prepared to hold him in criminal contempt of Congress.

The Subpoenas: The Republican-led House Oversight Committee originally issued legal subpoenas to Bill and Hillary Clinton in August 2025 as part of an investigation into Jeffrey Epstein.

The Standoff: The Clintons initially defied the subpoenas, leading the committee to schedule a House vote to hold them in criminal contempt, which could have resulted in Department of Justice proceedings, trials, and potential fines or imprisonment.

The Agreement: Facing the contempt vote, the Clintons reversed their refusal and agreed to depositions, with Hillary Clinton testifying on February 26, 2026, and Bill Clinton giving closed-door testimony on February 27, 2026.

Are you just randomly cutting and pasting information, or asking AI? The reality is that far more Republicans have defied subpoenas over the last 12 years. You pointed out "pay to play" regarding the Clintons. Again, I ask you, what sources do you have? The fact that you would immediately refer to the Clintons as a counterargument clearly shows your bias. You have made this into a left versus right thing by your statements. I posted an article and I asked a question about a specific situation that is happening now.

No bias at all and like I said bill clinton didn't willingly appear before congress.
If you were a Republican i would equally challenge your bias. Its called critical thinking.

How many ex-presidents in history have been subpoenaed by Congress in US history? Trump was subpoenad, but refused to show. Was that ok? Only 5 other presidents in history have that honor. Trump hid behind "immunity" for failing to show. Don't lecture me about critical thinking. You showed your bias in your response. You talked about "pay to play" with no evidence. Bengazi and Epstein have nothing to do with alleged "pay to play." Of course, Hillary and Bill took the beating... You showed your cards... whether you're a Republican or not. Good job trying to call that "critical thinking."

Five former U. S. presidents have been subpoenaed by congressional committees after leaving office.
You said you remember hillary terrifying before comgress for hours, it was about Bengazi.
Pay to play is definitely linked to Epstein as that is how he did buisness as a facilitater for politicians, for ultra wealthy, celebrities, royals etc.

Your too biased to see. Pay to play is not just the clintons but all the political class doing it.

Again, I asked you for proof. You still haven't given me any. The fact that others have done pay-to-play is not proof that the Clinton's did it. Don't insult my intelligence. If you don't have proof to back up your arguments, don't give any arguments. Tell me who else has submitted themselves to be grilled in Congress for hours on end like Hillary? She still had the guts to show up and be subjected to that. As a woman, she had more balls than any of these other GOP freaks combined! Again, you are not doing a good job of hiding your bias!
