Should I spend the night with my boyfriend?

so, I've been dating my boyfriend a couple of months, and recently he invited me to his best friend's surprise party. some people are spending the night since it's his friend's 21st birthday and there's going to be a lot of drinking. my boyfriend is going to pick me and a friend up, and he asked if I was going to spend the night, and a little giddy me said yes. he told me we'd leave the next morning. I told my dad that I was spending the night over at the friend's house on Wednesday and he responded and said "no, you are not." I was taken aback by it a little, and then I was able to see his perspective on it. would it be better to spend the night at the friend's house with my boyfriend or go home without him? I'm 19, my boyfriend's 20. he's for sure staying the night.

i was questioning it because my dad got angry with me about it. that's why I was apprehensive about doing the right thing. lol. and no, he knows we're not having sex for a long time, and he respects that, he's a nice guy.

i just meant sleeping over lol.

I really do not see anything wrong with it. You are 19. Your father needs to realize that you are of age. And, if you are not having sex, then more power to you. <333

P.S- I would stay the night...but, a father is gonna worry, I guess. Just do what makes YOU happy.

I would. Parents are over protective. Most dads can't stand the idea of their daughter having sex...but it happens

You're an adult, it's your decision. There's no problem sleeping over. He's being too over-protective.

There wouldn't even be a problem if you two were having sex.

If there's a lot of drunk guys there, around 2 or 3 am you'll likely be glad you didn't spend the night...
