+1 yMy History teacher, the teacher who's responsible for my class - and specially: responsible for me.
Because of two things:
She can really judge other people, and she has clear opinions of everybody she's met - including me. I'd love to get a "real input" about myself from someone else, not just what they feel like sharing - but the whole thing. She's also what google translator declares to be "gifted" in English (REALLY above average intelligence - "sobredotado" in Portuguese), and I'd like to know if she is absolutely certain I am too, or if she's lying to make me feel better with myself at this point in my life when that's the one answer that has nearly "saved me". That's what I want to know the most right now.
Also, she knows everything about Western History - all little details from all times. I'd love to take a peek at her "knowledge data base"... And get to know how her amazing mind works.
...Of course, tomorrow there's going to be a History exam, so it wouldn't hurt me either to get a perfect score..30 Reply

+1 yThere's a guy on GAG who I've been talking to and we were really getting to know each other. He really likes (or liked?) me, and wanted to hear my voice, so we agreed he could call my house phone one time. When I suddenly got shy and nervous and didn't say much, he got disappointed, because I'm much more outgoing and talkative online. I think we were both right in this case, but he was really upset about it, even though I'm ordering a webcam this week.
I wish I could read his mind and see if he's realized how much he was overreacting, and so I could know if I have any hope of him relaxing and realizing that I'm still the same person except for being shy on the phone, which I've always been even in normal situations.20 Reply

+1 yI guess and this may be pretty shallow but some people around my school. Mainly the people I hang around. I mean I can read them pretty clearly now but it would be nice to hear what they also have to think so to speak and really know what is going on with them. The thought for reading someone else's mind wouldn't so much as scare me but make me nervous because its the actual truth not lies so I would be relieved to hear the truth but hurt at the same time if it wasn't something I wanted to know. Mainly however I would use it on girls that I like to confirm that they like me...Pretty childish I know but it would be fun and I would move on from that and onto bigger things what I would know maybe I would go read the minds of brilliant inventors and scientist and see how their minds process the world. That would be interesting

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yAnyone can read anyone's mind if you stop running your mouth off, and listen. The way you word things will affect how much information people disclose to you.
If I could read anyone's mind it would be that of a mass murderer to try and understand why they do what they did.
If I could I'd read Sutcliffe's mind. The Yorkshire Ripper. To learn how he avoided the police and why he commited the crimes he did.10 Reply

+1 yHm, there's a couple options I'd seriously consider.
From a knowledge standpoint- I'd like to be able to read the mind of someone who is totally different from myself. Just because that'd be a worldview I don't understand, so I think there's value in learning that.
Otherwise, there's...a couple guy-friends I'd like to bounce in their head for just a few minutes. Honestly I just want to know what just crossed their mind sometimes. Then again, maybe I don't. Hence the not more than a glimse's worth of mind reading...10 Reply
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yEven if it was possible to read minds, I doubt it'd be possible to understand what the person's mind was actually "saying". Minds don't work the way they're portrayed in Twilight, (eg, "Wow, Edward is looking very hot today"). The mind processes things extremely quickly, and can be subconsciously focussing on many, many different things at once. It would be nearly impossible to subtract a thought that actually made any sense.

+1 yMy boyfriends. He can be hard to read and I wanna know what really goes on up there. Most people would think Politicians, but even they don't think about politics all the time, everyone has fairly normal thoughts to some extent. And if it's like that, I would like to know what exactly my boyfriend thinks about when we're together. (He's a shy modest guy, I'm interested in seeing those spicy thoughts)

+1 yi don't think I'd wanna read minds. I like the suspence. its more interesting not knowing what's going through other people's minds. if we could read minds the world would be a totally different place because we would do everything the other person thinks about. and that's boring.

+1 yI would be VERY afraid to read someone's mind. But, if I REALLY needed to, then it would be my boyfriend's mind. To see if what he is saying is the 100% truth. Haha. :D

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yThis one guy that made a huge impact in my life, I went through so much with him like emotionally and stuff mostly from my part. I always wondered why he could never return those feelings, I went out of my way to be with him but it wasn't till we finally stoped talking officially that I found out he had a difficult childhood and didn't know how to love. I would want to see how that changed his outlook in life because I really did for him still kind of do in a way

But he has departed, so how can you read his mind? o.O
- +1 y
He was more stubborn than brilliant. I know a lot of engineers who can make good technical decisions that could result in great products, but they are always overruled by committee or management or some such.
Steve kept the product design simple, but pushed every single component manufacturer to develop products that were beyond 'state of the art'. Of course, Apple had the volume to do that. But few other manufactures push that hard. That is where he was brilliant.
Warren Buffet. I've always been intrigued by his investing abilities. Ithers around him flopped yet he is legendary

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI would read the mind of the guy I like. I would hope to learn what he thinks of me. If he likes me, I'd drop hints that I'd like to date him, if he doesn't, I'd know to keep things casual and just be friends (which would be hard :T)
22 Reply- +1 y
Or how about if he likes you, you just ask him out? Dropping hints don't work all the time--because you can't expect him to read your mind/your intentions.
Opinion Owner+1 yHm... I could do that too :)

aww, I guess sometimes you need closure. But, the way I think of it, is he isn't worth needing closure. He isn't worth losing some of your self worth. He was a jerk and never deserved you in the first place. I am just trying to help sweetie. Hugs :)
