How did he find me on Facebook?

Ok so I met this person I have never met before, we have zero mutual friends, and we did not know each other. Only thing he knew was my FIRST NAME and CELL NUMBER.

My first name is common, and my cell number is NO WHERE on my Facebook. Even if you search it, I don't pop up. I'm confused how this person found me on Facebook? He does not know anyone I know and I do not know anyone he knows...

Not a keeper, searching through over 500,000 people with the same first name, is creepy. He could of just asked me in a text to add him or for him to add me. This creeps me out.

No not from same city. I live almost 30 minutes away from where he does. My city/town or where I'm from is not posted on Facebook. (I'm very picky with posting stuff on Facebook, so I DO NOT).


I met him at a bar. He found me cute, took my number. Only said my first name. He only have like 70 Facebook friends. I searched through all of them, NONE are mutual or have friends I know of. So this is really creeping me out.


He added me on Facebook two days after we met.

you need to calm down, you seem really immature and childish. He met you/knew you, you gave him your number so you obviously didn't think he was creepy at the time. You live 30 minutes from each other, that's pretty close so you're in the same area. Usualy when you search, even just a first name, it turns up results in your area at the top. So it wouldn't have taken long for him to find you. You're really overreacting here

No he wouldn't have found by area because ITS NO WHERE posted on my page. I have strict privacy and you can only find me if you KNOW MY LAST NAME. Sure I gave him my number, but he could OF ASKED me WHEN WE WERE TEXTING YESTERDAY TO ADD ME ON FACEBOOK. This is just creepy cause there's no way he found me unless he PAID online to GET my INFO. When I made my brothers Facebook and tried to find me ONLY using my first NAME, I could not FIND ME unless I added my last NAME.

Cell umber has your area code in it so he searched for people with your first name in that area code? He might have known your age

Even if he did that, he can't find me! I'm very picky and have strict privacy settings. NO ONE can find me UNLESS they know my last name. I have no connections not even school work or where Iive. NOTHING.

Well, maybe it's like how ipood down there is saying- the closest people you pop up. It may be scary to think he found you right after giving him your number.. but perhaps this is a good learning experience to not hand out your number to guys at bars. ;

Its just I've met a lot of people who I've wanted to "creep" on Facebook (and never add them,) and with many information it still is difficult to find them. & this was just so creepy with all of my privacy settings that he found me... He could have just simply asked me and I would have happily added him..

Maybe he typed in your first name and remembered what you look like. Even so, that's a lot of searching to do.
