Trump insists exporting companies and countries pay tariffs on goods imported into the US

Economists and importers say it's the importers who pay tariffs on imports.

Who is right?

You know how sometimes people charged with a crime are allowed out on bond. Problem is that what if you don't have enough money to get out on bond? Is that not discriminating against people who do not afford to pay the bond?

If the court thinks that you can be out and free until your case is heard it can let you out. No need to take money from you even if it is temporary.

My fiancé's family lives in MTG's district. We are all huge conservatives. That area is one of the last nicer areas around here. I am thinking about moving to northwest Georgia. I would be relocating from east Tennessee. If I do, I will have the pleasure of voting for MTG!

How do know it’s true?

I remember when Biden took office, fuel prices shot up within days. Personally, the Biden presidency has not benefitted me at all. However, I feel I have been more at a disadvantage ever since.

• The tech recession really started to take effect. I am a software engineer. Due to the mass layoffs in the tech industry, it is much more challenging to land a new role.
• The cost of rent skyrocketed within a year of Biden taking office. A one bedroom apartment that once cost $800 a month rose to $1,300 a month.
• Homeownership became more unobtainable. Being almost 30 and wanting to own my first home, I was outpriced. For example, looking at the history of these homes, a condo that once sold for under $200k in 2021 is now selling for over $350k in 2024.
• Interest rates have increased for mortgage loans, car loans, or any type. of loan/line of credit.
• I feel my career has not taken off. I have employment instability everywhere I go.
• I am having difficulties obtaining affordable mental healthcare or any healthcare for that matter.
• I feel more strapped financially even for just groceries. I spent about $8 today on just 2 items: a tube of Pillsbury orange roles and a jar of store brand apple butter.
• My overall stress levels have increased.

These are just examples of issues I have encountered on a personal basis.

So the story is, a 17 year old girl is facing prison time for fighting off a rapist using pepper spray. Her crime? Carrying a weapon. What bullshit is this? I wish she were in the US. she would not be facing any charges. You know your society, tour culture is up shits creek without a paddle when you're jailing people who protect them selves over rapists and criminals. Alas this is laftism for you.
