What will likely be the last decade Gen Z will consider "old" when they're older?

Like every generation, once a majority of them are mature adults or middle-aged, they'll see newer decades as "modern" and then decades where they grew up as "old." Gen X perceives the 2000s as relatively modern, whereas Gen Z views them as retro. But, what do you think will be the last decade most of Gen Z will consider to be "old" by the time most of the time are mature adults?

2040. The youngest Gen Z is born in 2012, making them 18 by 2030, so 2040 they would be late 20’s. The rest of us will be older than that. I’ll be 39 by 2040.

2010s even to me at 30 seem so old - to think those folks in 2010s never had Uber Eats or online apps to the degree there are.
I didn't even use a smartphone until 2020 😀🤣

Right, I’d say 2010s. Mainly because of the early 2010s:

• CRT TVs still had a fair presence despite probably not being the majority of what people used at that point. Most households that still had CRT TVs had them only in their bedrooms. Some businesses still had CRT TVs, and they were still used in schools at that time also.

• Cable TV was still a thing in the early 2010s

•Before smartphones became ubiquitous around later 2012-2013, slider phones were popular as well as some flip phones + feature phones.

• ⁠PCs, Windows computer, and digital cameras were still used more than smartphones in the early 2010s
• ⁠Still a lot of reliance on physical media for movies
• ⁠Last time video stores had somewhat of a presence
• ⁠Last time malls were still doing somewhat okay before the "dead mall" trend started becoming more of a thing by the later 2010s

The 2010s in general though would've been pre-COVID and also before AI became more widespread & perfected.
