When will these Gen Z in their 20's realize they are no longer a kid?

What do they mean 30 is old when we are only 10 years or something apart? we are not old enough to be your parents, why are they calling auntie? I don't really care if people say 30 is old. But when they say it, they mean we are grandmas, no we are not the same age as your grandparents. People in their 30s will always be old enough to be a parent because a lot of people have kids at 30 so I don't really get when younger people talk like people in their 30s are like 70+ something years old

I grew up with a friend, and when we were in our 20s, he used to call everybody old i didn't see it like that kind of embarrassed me

And to this day , I don't see people as being old not unless they cannot walk or function

I'm 53I feel like I'm 25, and I can still outwork any guy in their 20s and 30s, I can double sometimes triple the work. And that's just because i'm smarter

I used to dirt bikes, so I'm still in shape. I eat good. I work hard. I don't exercise. I don't feel I need to

But in my head, in my heart, in my body, I'm still young. I can still function down there and I know how to use it with all the rest of my body and the day I can't do that will be the day that I will probably feel old or I will try to fix it somehow, but I don't understand people that call other people old. They're not going to know until they get to that age that that number is not old

Young people, have always had a distorted view of time, as well as the entire process of aging itself, and I’m including myself in that assessment, when I was young. I believe that the principal reason for this is that we go through so many myriad changes between, say, age ten and twenty five or so, which in turn causes us to think that such changes occur all the way through life’s journey, when in reality we tend to be more or less the same mentally, emotionally and psychologically from about age thirty onward.

As an adult you don't get much actual youth. Thirties are approaching middle age or the low end of it. You get your 20s and that's about all the serious youth you get, before that you're a child. Your 30s are still young but you're considered "older" you're next step is being 40 after that you're looked on as old. So you could say you get 10 years of youth and the rest you're a child or you're old. Research into aging is some of the most important research we're doing. Greenland sharks can live 600 years, we should be trying to find out why.

When I was 20, in 2000, I also thought 30yo folks were old, and I meant old, like aunties yeah. Was my opinion rational? Not really, was my perception real? To me, yes, 30yo people felt like old folks because they were strange to me. I bet this perception can occur for anyone in each generation

I used to call a buddy of mine grandpa because of our age differences but he was younger than my dad.
It’s a joke or just a fun little banter between friends. Just lean into it maybe put beer in a baby bottle for them some shit like that.
