Why do sports fans tend to misbehave more than other drunks?

Question

this weekend my local soccer club climbed up a league and the bar i work at (usually not a spot frequented by them) got overrun by sports fans. they were disgusting towards me and the other waitresses, got black out drunk, tried to steal our trays and one group even run off without paying after i forbid them to drink alcohol they brought from home at our tables.
Bringing alcohol from other bars/their home was generally something that they seemed to do on the regular.

What the fuck sports fans? Why can't you just behave like normal drunks? Why are so many of you mental amoeba?

imagine being completely drunk and a team that you have followed for possible decades completely falls apart and loses, you are already drunk now you are disappointed and pissed

Why do they get so crazy in Europe for the soccer matches we don’t get that way in the USA for NFL football that much just a few fights here and there in the stands.

I don't know, its just sadly been normalised in football it seems. Whereas i rarely hear about it when it comes to Rugby or Cricket fans.
