What do you think about the Turkish Super Cup final in Arabia yesterday? (about the events that took place)?

They shouldn’t have agreed to have the match in Riyadh. It was about the jerseys though. Not the flags or the national anthem. Of course the Turkish anthem was going to be played for the Turkish cup final. They were to be 100 year anniversary commemorational jerseys. The Saudis didn’t want those jerseys to be worn. They were also just the pre game training jerseys and not the match strip.
Not knowing any details or background about this ''event'' -
Seeing the two countries mentioned, I don't have the feeling that I missed something :)
Because both countries (is ''institutions'') are meaningless to me.
And also: their football skills suck.
Yes - I looked it up a few minutes ago.
I believe that politics have no place in sports events. So when it happens, I ''switch off''.
And... as I said: the quarrels of countries that don't concern me - aren't mine.
That's why I looked it up :)
The problem being: I now don't have more insight in the world than before, heh heh.

Rather silly behaviour by the Turks. But it shows how bad they are at planning anything. No wonder they struggle at holding international events!
I have no idea they don’t talk about turkey here in the United States. As far as sports goes we’re only familiar with the English Premier league and American sports 🏈
I dont watch football except the World Cup and Euro Cup
yea but I never heard of the super cup, I really dont watch sports that often haha
A cup match was to be played between Turkey's two biggest clubs and it was decided to hold this match in Riyadh. Before the match, the leaders of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey wanted to take to the field with Ataturk banners, but the Arabs did not allow this. The Arabs, who did not allow this, wanted the Arab anthem to be played instead of the Turkish national anthem, but the Turks did not do this. He did not play the match between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray and left the country, which angered the Arabs. Thus, Arab-Turkish hostility flared up again.
yea like all mega sport events, like the olympia games etc, its all just money and political representation, its disgusting sometimes. I think the arabs are among the worst
their greed is insufferable. They so badly want to be nr 1 country in economy, all built upon modern slavery
Yea haha thats what I always say. Most islamic/arabic led countries in the middle east follow medieval values.
Exactly like medieval Europe. The bible also didn't say "witches" should be burned at the stake. Religion is and has been in my opinion mostly a tool to control the people, to keep them down. Stories invented to keep people be scared to do what the government doesn't want
Right now they are scared in Germany tomorrow for New Years eve, islam supporters will start major riots.
Yea they truly need a Martin Luther.
The germans support Israel/the jews to redeemt themselves from ww2. The islamists though dont like that they take their side
Already last year it went out of hand. They used fireworks as weapons against police. Now they planned to do it again. Dont knoe why its especiallu that day.
Yea thats true. People are really quick to condemn Isreal for their defense. Though nobody dares saying a word against Putin, weird. Also hamas dont represent all muslims, they are terrorists who use civilians as meatshields and manipulate thr media with propaganda.
Yes, I'm glad you see that as well.
Your cool to have conversations with haha
I think they should keep politics out of football.
i dont give a sh*t. i even dont know what happend and dont want to know.
I'm not sure. What sport is that?
Football
Never heard of it
