Do you think the Chicago Blackhawks are in the early stages of build another dynasty?

They just got Bedard who is everything as advertised, and are still terrible so they will have another very high draft pick this coming draft.

They drafted Towes in 2006 with the #3 and then next year they where so bad they drafted Kane #1 and that was the foundation for 3 cups..

So do you think history is repeating again?

A lot has to happen, and Bedsy is still only 18, so there’s plenty of time. But like you said, they had Toews AND Kaner for all those years. I think it’s tough to build around just one guy. Two? Now you’re cooking. Look the old Gretzky Oilers teams, with young Messier, also Jari Kurri. Or before them with the Islanders, Bossy and Trottier. Or the Penguins, take your pick between the Lemieux/Jagr days or more recently with Crosby and Malkin. Still waiting to see if McDavid/Draisaitl can get it done, they haven’t gotten close yet. Ditto for the Leafs with Marner and Mathews.

So…. Bedard is Piece #1, and that’s big, but he’ll need help. The good news for the Hawks is that they’re going to stink for a couple more years at least, and maybe fall into some top talent right on the heels of winning the Bedard Sweepstakes. Also are going to need a roster spot left open for a goon, because Bedsy is a little ass boy, lmao, with all respect to his skills. They’re bullying the shit out of him, already sustained a broken jaw. He’s showing some fight, and that’s good, but like Gretzky, even in today’s NHL, I think you need that Dave Semenko, Marty McSorley guy to keep the opponents honest. If he ever ends up on the Trouba Train tracks…. RIP, liI man, lmfao.

But Bedard is sure a heck of a talent to build a team around, that kid can play👍👍

They’ve definitely got potential to get something going in the next few years. But you still never know. Leafs have tons of talent are still mid at best, Jets have had a top roster for a decade and can never seem to put together a full good season

Well as someone who lives in the Chicagoland area and a huge Hawks fan I'm hoping that's the case.. it's fun watching Bedard but it's hard to keep watching them loose.
