How many girls or boys like American football?

According to my boyfriend, the National Football League is entering the most important part of the season leading to the Super Bowl. I have talked with many of my girl friends and most of them do not like professional football or even understand it; whereas most (not all guys) do. Now there are also some girls who like football. I am just curious so I will make a poll. How many people like football? Of course the poll will record whether you are a boy or girl, so I will only need two answers. Actually, I will put four in case you are from another country.

Dislike it, because when I watch a game, I want to see actual gameplay, not everybody standing around, discussing and setting up. Also all these advertisements every 90 seconds are the pest. With real football, I get to see 2x45 minutes of actual, uninterrupted gameplay (outside of fouls/injuries, of course).

I'm an AFL guy and have ZERO interest in American football , other than the Super bowl advertising spend. Here in Thailand too , it doesn't exist , just a few bars would play it.

To me , our game of AFL is vastly quicker , and much more exciting , plus I'm an ex player.

I always found rugby league funnier but I prefer AFL over NFL.

I went to some League games in Melbourne , look its okey.. but so much slower than AFL.
Its a full on sport , so tough , and played at speed.

Even if you don't wind up liking it, I guarantee you, that if you don't understand it, you're not going to like it. The question is, why do they refuse to understand it?
