I didn't play sports in high school or college.

My contribution was as manager to the track team. You know, the person who preps the track, takes the times, makes sure everyone has their uniform. I got my high school letter for 3 years as manager.

That's still good as people forget the preparation. I'm in a break from our sports day just now, although it's In the school sports hall as weather outside not too good.

My school made sure that we value the individual achievements of individual people.

Not those of some institution.

Therefore, I gained a few wins here and there for myself only; and because of myself :)

I ran track. My coaches wanted me to play football and basketball but I lived like 12 miles out of town and if I stayed after school to do that I didn't have a ride home.. and the prior year I wanted a dirt bike my parents weren't going to let me have one not unless I paid for it so I worked all summer and I bought a dirt bike but I wasn't allowed to ride it until my parents got home so I quit running track and would go straight home after school on the bus and I would still ride my dirt bike I would get in trouble but it was worth it LOL and then I started racing dirt bikes so I wasn't really interested in track anymore even though I did run to stay in shape
