A non-exhaustive list of karate strikes and submissions which are banned in Unified rules MMA. what do you think?

throat punch

eye gouge

groin strikes

knee kicks

cross heel stomp kick to grounded opponent

Kamae (dislocates the jaw and gouges an eye at the same time)

Kicks to the sternum (under the "no intentionally injuring your opponent" rule)

Reverse neck breaker/reverse guillotine

standing back breaker, dislocates the jaw and is a neck crank

Full Arm Bar (is considered a neck crank)

Reverse Arm Bar

Accolade

Toe holds of any kind

Several variations of front wrist lock. Only ONE variant of this is allowed, and if you accidentally grab individual fingers you get a point deducted.

Side arm control is banned from the standing position because it is considered a "neck crank".

It should be noted that standing leg locks applied to a grounded opponent are banned in both MMA and BJJ only competitions. They want to artificially FORCE a karate fighter to "wrestle" with a wrestler, which is not in the spirit of the original competition. So for example, the front ankle lock, figure 4 ankle lock, and reverse figure 4 are banned in both mMA and BJJ for no reason other than to give the BJJ competitor a natural advantage against the karate guy. I didn't know these were banned until yesterday. No wonder nobody ever uses them.

MMA is not a "real fight" regardless of what anyone claims. It's supposed to be a competition to "prove the best martial art," and yet most of the best karate moves are inherently banned, while almost nothing in BJJ is banned.
