Should I try out for highschool cheerleading next year?

I will be a freshmen next year, i'm thinking about becoming a cheerleader next year, but i'm kinda nervous. I'm not that girly. And I don't know how I feel about wearing the skirt for the uniform. I'm kind of a tomboy tbh. But I do like the idea of being a cheerleader and cheering for my schools football team. Especially since my best friend is going to be a football player on the JV team
