Do you know how to ice skate and have had a CPR certificate in lifeguarding?

I’ve been doing some job hunting and one of the next places I want to work is a recreation center, and the rec center I go to has a lot to offer. You can go to swim, you can go to ice skate, you can lift weights, there’s a basketball court, there’s a track to run on and much more. The main positions I thought about doing are working in the ice rink or being a lifeguard. If I work in the ice rink, I would have to know how to skate which I don’t at the moment, but I registered for ice skating. As for being a lifeguard, we’ll have you been a lifeguard before? Thought I heard lifeguards aren’t allowed to wear goggles, not even when saving a drowning person, but wouldn’t the goggles help the lifeguard see the drowning person better? Every time I’ve gone swimming, I always plug my nose with my hand, when I go under the water, but if lifeguards aren’t suppose to do that, how do they keep the water out of their noses? I’ve been going swimming and have been trying to swim like a lifeguard would. If you’ve taken cpr classes, haven’t you felt overwhelmed with how long the classes are?
