Americans, will you be watching or attending the games for the World Cup 2026 in North America?

Question

Since most fellow Americans aren't big football (soccer) fans, thought I'd ask if the world's biggest sporting event being held in US cities sparked their curiosity. I guess the question could apply to Canadians as well, since I think the most popular sport there is Hockey? Both of these countries along with Mexico will be hosting the 2026 World Cup.

Have you watched any World Cup games before or gotten into the World Cup fever? Will you be supporting your country?

We don’t care that much we care about the Super Bowl if the USA is in the World Cup at the finals yes, we will watch but it’s not more important than the Super Bowl they never get that far anyway they’re way behind USA men’s soccer even the USA women are World Cup champions, and the men are pathetic they’ve never won the World Cup

It’s the most-watched sports event in the world, so enough interested Americans are going to watch it also. I have no clue where Germany currently stands, chance-wise, though. 🤔

No different than any other WorldCup or Olympics year, I will def tune in to see how we do, but not devote all of my free time to it.

Also I do not believe hosting this WC will help develop deeper feelings for the sport here. USA is def football (American) first country.

Soccer has become more popular in my city for the last 10 years.  we are building a new soccer stadium as I type this.  I am an American.  I will not be watching. Have never been into any sports.

Soccer is almost exclusively on "pay-per-view" and/or "streaming" in my area, so I probably will not be able to see any of the matches, except for maybe the final (it is supposed to be on a regular broadcast channel)... but I will still follow the scores and the standings...

I'm Canadian and even though I played soccer competitively to the point I even traveled abroad to play, I never cared to watch it much. Or any sport for that matter. I like watching the highlights though. But I'm more of a player than a bench warmer.
